The next International Steward workshop will be
held in Haiti. Haiti is an island off the coast of Florida. The political
environment has been plagued by violence most of its history.
The life expectancy on this island is under 50
years, and the nation has an infant mortality rate barley under 10%,
with most of the population living below the poverty level. This country
also lies in the middle of the hurricane belt, which has contributed
to many natural disasters. This will be our second trip to Haiti, where
we will be holding an advanced workshop. We plan on leaving for this
trip on March 18th and will return on the 25th. Please pray us during
this time of travel.
Steps of Faith
Despite these harsh realities, Haitians are growing in the grace of
giving. International Steward will be training roughly 30 Ministry Leaders
at our Advanced Stewardship and Fund Development workshop in March.
After the initial workshop in Haiti one year ago, one Ministry Leader
was challenged to apply the principles of fund development he had learned
at the workshop. Through this ministry of stewardship, he was able to
raise money within his own community. The amount was equal to $4,000.00
U.S. Dollars. That amount will cover the budget of his ministry for
well over one year!
